Rep. Melotik: Honored with “Early Detection Life Saver Award” by Early Detection Saves Lives Coalition

Madison, Wisconsin – On Wednesday July, 24, 2024, Rep. Paul Melotik proudly accepted the “Early  Detection Life Saver Award” from the Early Detection Saves Lives Coalition, in recognition of his steadfast advocacy and legislative efforts aimed at advancing early detection of breast cancer during the previous legislative session. 

Upon receiving the award, Rep. Melotik expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honored to receive the Early Detection Life Saver Award from the Early Detection Saves Lives Coalition. This recognition underscores the importance of our collective efforts to promote early detection of breast cancer. I remain committed to continuing our work to improve access to effective screenings for all.” 

The Early Detection Saves Lives Coalition, comprised of leading health organizations including AdvaMed, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, GE Healthcare, Medical College of Wisconsin, Rayus Radiology, Susan G. Komen, the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition, the Wisconsin  Primary Health Care Association, the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Wisconsin Radiological Society, collaborates to advocate for policies and initiatives that prioritize early detection and support individuals at increased risk of breast cancer.
