Dodge County Assistant District Attorney Chad Wozniak announces his candidacy for Dodge County Circuit Court Judge Branch 3. Judge Joe Sciascia who has faithfully held the seat for the past 11 years, has elected not to run.
ADA Wozniak, has been a prosecutor for the past fourteen years and has conducted over 100 jury trials. He has maintained a court calendar focused on violent crimes including distribution of controlled substances, shootings, and homicides. Chad Wozniak has prosecuted a City of Juneau man with over 2000 grams of Methamphetamine and $50,000 in US currency, and was a member of a team responsible for prosecuting the May 13, 2022, mass shooting at the “Deer District” following a Milwaukee Bucks playoff game. Additionally, Attorney Wozniak prosecuted the November 20, 2020, mass-shooting at Mayfair mall in which eight victims were injured and the November 2021 shooting and attempted homicide of Wauwatosa police officers at a Radisson Hotel.
In addition to prosecuting violent crimes, Attorney Wozniak has spent significant time working with law enforcement. He spent two years working out of police stations where he worked alongside law enforcement officers. He saw, firsthand, the effects of crime on a community. Attorney Wozniak has the support of Dodge County law enforcement leadership including District Attorney Andrea Will, and Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt. He also has the support of numerous members of the Dodge County Bar Association.
Attorney Wozniak lives with his wife, Katie, a United States Navy veteran, a victim-witness specialist with the United States Attorneys’ Office and their three boys. Attorney Wozniak is active with the Beaver Dam Rotary Club as a board member and a member of the Dodge County Republican party and the Dodge County Bar Association.
