Friends of town government share a core belief that the best decisions occur in a decentralized system and closest to the people. They understand that local government leadership is the fuel for inventive solutions to public sector challenges and the key to unlocking the power of democracy.

In his role as a member of the Joint Committee on Finance, Senator Testin was an ardent proponent of state investment in local infrastructure. Senator Testin also authored legislation to protect the rights of town landowners and ensure that all Wisconsinites have a voice in their local regulation.

“Senator Testin is a strong defender of towns and rural Wisconsin,” Koles added.  “His leadership advocating for town government and local leaders makes him extremely deserving of recognition as a Friend of Towns.”
