Wisconsin Principles Inc. reported to the FEC it put $458,500 into an new ad hitting Baldwin on transparency.
The spot plays a clip of Baldwin saying she doesn’t believe there should be two sets of rules, “one for the wealthy and one for the rest of us.” The narrator says 12 years later, Baldwin pushed for conflict of interest regulations but exempted herself and won’t disclose “any shared assets she has with her partner despite the potential for conflict of interest. Tell Tammy Baldwin we deserve the truth.”
The Wisconsin Principles PAC registered with the FEC in late March and hadn’t detailed any fundraising activity through the end of June. The PAC and Wisconsin Principles Inc. list the same Oconomowoc address.
