Steil vows to protect seniors in his first ad of reelection bid – WisPolitics
U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Janesville, launched the first TV ad of his reelection bid, a spot that features his 100-year-old grandmother.
Steil, who faces Dem Peter Barca this fall, didn’t release details of the buy. According to AdImpact, he has nearly $2.2 million in ad reservations through the Nov. 5 election.
In the spot, Steil’s grandmother says she learned hard work on the farm during the Great Depression and her grandson has “always been a hard worker.” Steil notes many seniors are struggling with high prices and says that’s why he’s working to protect Social Security and Medicare.
He closes the spot saying he approves the message “because I’ll always protect our seniors, including my grandma.”
She adds, “I know you will, Bryan.”
