Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson will welcome hundreds of participants in the Camp Rise program in the City Hall rotunda on Tuesday morning. The young people participating in Camp Rise will visit various city departments during the day to learn about the roles and responsibilities of local government.
Camp Rise is a program Mayor Johnson helped create that engages participants between the ages of ten and fourteen in positive summer activity. Young people earn a stipend for participating in the program which introduces them to the world of work.
