The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin (LPWI) calls on our elected leaders to promote peace and prioritize diplomacy in all international affairs.
Both major presidential candidates promote continued escalation in multiple theaters while ignoring the interests of American citizens and failing to learn the lessons of the last twenty years of failed interventionism. Libertarians stand as the only consistent advocates of peace for the last 50+ years and present a stark alternative to the bi-partisan war mongering in Washington D.C.
War not only leads to the loss of countless innocent lives but continues to further destabilize regions, leading to further calls for intervention in a disastrous cycle. War creates refugee crises that devastate families while stoking resentment both at home and abroad. War multiplies our enemies while destroying our military and economic strength.
As passed at the LPWI state-wide convention in April of this year,
“The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin demands an immediate end to all government money, direct or indirect, supporting and funding, by any means, foreign military conflict…The U.S. must advocate for peace, always.”
