EMILY’s List announced a $2.65 million buy in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race knocking GOP businessman Eric Hovde on abortion.
The EMILY’s List ad, which is airing through Women Vote, features several people identified as doctors and nurses in Wisconsin who warn, “Women need to pay close attention to what Eric Hovde says about access to abortion.”
The spot plays a clip of Hovde from two 2012 interviews in which he says Roe v. Wade should be overturned and that, “I am totally opposed to abortion.”
Dr. Madelaine Tully says, “My patients worry about what Hovde will take away next” before a nurse closes the spot, “A vote for Eric Hovde means we’ll lose even more control over our lives.”
