The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin (LPWI) is distraught by the calls from the Democrat Party at
their convention for artificial price caps on all sorts of products. Price caps always lead to
shortages, driving even more upward pressure on industries that are already stressed to the
breaking point by the caps. From medication to rent, Democrats are demanding the most anti free
market regulations of all to be forced onto all Americans regardless of how much pain and suffering
it causes in the name of “equality”.
The LPWI continues to believe that a return to a market without oppressive government controls and
regulations is the best way to raise everyone out of the economic mire that we have been sucked
into by uncompetitive legislation and unsustainable spending.

the marketplace is a well informed consumer with a lot of choices. Anyone who has taken even an
intro economics course knows that price caps will lead to people purchasing more than they would
