The CHIPS Act has created more than 50,000 good-paying jobs since 2022 

Two years ago, the CHIPS and Science Act was signed into law – no thanks to Bryan Steil, who voted against these historic investments.

This legislation has delivered historic investments in American manufacturing, spurring the re-shoring of jobs and strengthening the nation’s domestic supply chain. Specifically, the CHIPS Act has:

• Spurred the creation or expansion of 83 new semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain facilities across the country.

• Attracted $447 billion in private investments across 25 states, boosting America’s chip manufacturing capacity while reducing our dependence on importing chips bringing nearly $50 million to Wisconsin for Biotech development.

• Created more than 56,000 good-paying jobs.

• Expanded opportunities at more than 50 community colleges to help workers access these job opportunities.
