Baldwin spot feature law enforcement officers praising her anti-fentanyl efforts – WisPolitics
A new spot from Dem U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin features Dem law enforcement officers defending her efforts to combat fentanyl.
Baldwin has just more than $1 million in spots running over the coming week, according to AdImpact.
Hovde and his backers have run a series of ads knocking Baldwin on the border and fentanyl this year.
In the new spot, retired Stevens Point Police officer Paul Piotrowski, who ran for state Senate in 2020, says “we know the attacks on Tammy Baldwin are not true.”
Former Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud, who retired in June, says Baldwin has been working with law enforcement to stop the flow of fentanyl. Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett says Baldwin brought Dems and Republicans together before Skatrud adds, “to crack down on drugs coming from China and Mexico.”
Skatrud adds Baldwin voted 32 times to strengthen the border before Rock County Sheriff Curt Fell closes the spot, “It’s Tammy Baldwin I trust to keep Wisconsin safe.”
