Makes $40,000 contribution to four local organizations – WisPolitics
Milwaukee, WI – The MKE 2024 Host Committee announced its first post-convention contributions today to local organizations that served as the committee’s charitable partners during the convention. Four $10,000 grants will be given to two local schools and two veterans organizations in Milwaukee. Notre Dame School of Milwaukee, Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School, Veterans Community Project, and Fisher House WI are the first groups to receive charitable contributions following the convention. The organizations were all present at the Host Committee’s official welcome party as charitable partners.
“We were overwhelmed by the support from Milwaukee for hosting the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. It’s out of that abundance of support that we can now make a difference in our community, starting with these four organizations who were official charitable partners during the convention,” said Alison Prange, President & Chief Operating Officer of the MKE 2024 Host Committee. “As we approach the end of the year, we intend to keep giving back. Milwaukee was a great partner, and we will continue looking for groups like these four with a history of working in the community to make a difference.”
The MKE 2024 Host Committee raised over $85 million ahead of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, smashing its initial fundraising goal of $68 million. Host Committee funds supported everything from buses to the staging of Fiserv Forum.
