Libertarian Party of Wisconsin: VP Candidate Mike ter Maat spreads Libertarian message
On Monday, August 19th, Vice Presidential Candidate Mike ter Maat spoke with supporters and the public at the 5th Quarter in Verona, Wisconsin. Joining him were members of the Rock County and Dane County Libertarian Party affiliates as well as Senate candidate Phil Anderson and Republican Congressional candidate Erik Olsen.
Mike ter Maat urged his fellow libertarians to run for office and spoke on the economic importance of ending the Federal Reserve system and the egregious overreach of the Covid-19 lockdowns. Additionally, the vice presidential candidate engaged in an impromptu discussion with Erik Olsen regarding the effectiveness of tariffs as a bargaining tool in international trade.
Austin Bond, the state coordinator for the Chase Oliver/Mike ter Maat campaign, stated,
“the conversation was engaging and, most importantly, civil. It’s always a win when Liberty minded folks gather to discuss their values and ideas.”
