ACLU of Wisconsin: Publishes answers to questionnaire sent to all State Legislative Candidates running in 2024
MILWAUKEE – The ACLU of Wisconsin today published candidate responses to a questionnaire sent to all state Assembly and Senate candidates to gauge their positions on access to contraception and IVF, classroom censorship, and marijuana legalization, among other critical issues.
“These questionnaires are intended to give voters a better understanding of where state legislative candidates fall on crucial issues affecting the civil rights and civil liberties of Wisconsinites,” said Dr. Melinda Brennan, Executive Director of the ACLU of Wisconsin. “We entrust those elected to serve in the legislature to make decisions that will significantly impact our lives and the state’s future, so we all deserve to know where they stand.”
With so many legislative seats up for election in November, there is no better time to ask candidates to explain their political positions and give Wisconsinites what they need to cast an informed vote.
There are 99 state Assembly seats and 16 state Senate seats on the ballot in 2024.
