Knodl beats Brandtjen in suburban Milwaukee 24th AD primary

State Sen. Dan Knodl, R-Germantown, easily beat state Rep. Janel Brandtjen, R-Menomonee Falls, today to advance his return to the Assembly.

With 78% of the vote in, Knodl was at 62.25%, while Brandtjen was at 37.75% in their matchup for the 24th AD in suburban Milwaukee.

Knodl beat Brandtjen in a February 2023 primary on his way to winning a special election for the 8th SD. But he decided to make a bid to return to the Assembly, where he served for 14 years, after he was drawn into a state Senate seat with fellow Republican Duey Stroebel, R-Saukville.

Knodl is favored to win in the heavily GOP district against Dem William Walter, of Germantown.
