PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wisc. – On Tuesday, Congressman Derrick Van Orden released the first TV ad of his campaign for the 2024 cycle. The ad, titled “Goats,” takes viewers across the district behind the scenes of what it really means to be a leader in Washington.
In the ad, Van Orden talks about what it takes to get the job done: “Stay on mission, know what you’re fighting for, and sometimes you’ve got to get a little dirty to finish a job.”
The ad will begin airing across Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District starting Tuesday.

“Welcome to Washington, D.C. You got a bunch of loudmouth, preening politicians – it’s absolute chaos. I’m Derrick Van Orden and after 26 years as a Navy SEAL, there are a few things that I learned: you stay on mission, you know what you’re fighting for, and sometimes you’ve got to get a little dirty to finish the job. Let’s go kids! Not you, not you. You, let’s go! I’m Derrick Van Orden. Oh, I approve this message.”
