Bastian Bux Brings Petit Comité of House to NYC for the First Time

House has always been a staple of New York dance culture, so much of what defines the genre today was born in the clubs and warehouses of the city. Now on July 17th, one of Spain’s most versatile selectors is bringing his vision of that culture back to where it started. Bastian Bux is making the New York debut of Petit Comité of House at H0L0 Yard in Ridgewood, and it is the first time the Barcelona-born party series has come to the city.
Petit Comité is more than a party. It started as a response to a scene that Bux felt had drifted away from what made house music special in the first place. The idea behind his parties is quite simple, it’s designed around music made to dance to, a room you actually want to stay in, and an atmosphere built around connection rather than spectacle. That approach has already carried the project across Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Miami, and Colombia, with fourteen events across five cities and more than nine thousand attendees in 2025 alone.
After the parties grew, a record label was the next step. Launched in 2025 as an extension of the parties, the label has exploded in almost no time. It has four releases, and every single one has landed in the Beatport Top 10. Some held their spot for more than one hundred days. The debut single “Good Things” became a summer anthem during elrow at UNVRS, while EPs like Life in Circles and Only U helped define the soulful and straight-to-the-point sound the project is known for.
For Bux, being able to bring the project to New York City carries a special meaning. “The US, and New York in particular, played a huge role in shaping house music as we know it. So much of what we love about this culture was born there. Petit Comité exists because we fell in love with those original values: positivity, freedom, connection, and music that brings people together. Bringing the project to New York feels like coming full circle,” he said.
He continued with a description of what people can expect from the night, which would give the “full Petit Comité experience.” He says, “Our music combined with the finest proper house, both classic and new, our visual world, and a lineup featuring some of the most exciting names in the US house music scene. If you’re a true house music lover, you’ll love the experience.”
The night is presented in partnership with Gray Area, whose founder Michael Julian spoke on why the collaboration between the label and promoter made sense. “From day one, a big part of Gray Area’s purpose has been to help exceptional artists and tastemakers bring their vision to new territories while staying true to the communities and culture they’ve built. We love partnering with visionaries who are creating something meaningful, and Bastian Bux and Petit Comité embody exactly that. We’re excited to welcome our good friend Bastian to our home and introduce the Petit Comité experience to New Yorkers and the Gray Area tribe while building something special together,” Julian said.
Joining Bux on the lineup is Monty Kiddo, one of Chicago’s fastest rising selectors and producers, whose sound pulls from disco, funk, French touch, UKG, and classic house. Monty has built momentum through support slots for artists like John Summit, Dom Dolla, ANOTR, and Gorgon City, along with his own “House Calls” event series. Rounding out the bill is New York based talent Andrew Nak, who brings a hometown touch to the debut.
Part of what makes Petit Comité stand out is the attention paid to everything around the music. Floral aesthetics are a core part of the visual identity, expect to see flower arrangements decorating the dancefloor. The project even has its own magnolia fragrance used throughout its events. It is a small detail but one that leaves a lasting impression when you notice it.
After years of playing major stages, Bux is now putting his energy into a more intimate format, where the connection between the DJ and the crowd is the whole point. On July 17th, that world arrives in New York for its very first time. If you love house music the way this city taught the world to love it, this is a night you will not want to miss.
