The European Realme 16 Pro has a smaller battery and better software support

Realme unveiled the 16 Pro for India back in January, and now the European model has been listed by the official site, revealing some key differences. Whereas the Indian model has a 7,000 mAh battery, the European one only gets 6,500 mAh. Furthermore, while the Indian model supports 80W wired charging, the European one only does 45W.

In European markets, the phone is only offered with 8GB of RAM (paired with 256GB or 512GB of storage), but the Indian version is offered in a 12/256GB version too. NFC and eSIM are both supported in Europe but not in India, and unsurprisingly there’s no charger in the box in Europe but there is one in India.

Finally, the software support promise differs as well, with Europe getting more and India less. Here’s a handy table detailing all of the differences between the European and Indian variants.
| Spec | Europe | India |
|---|---|---|
| RAM + Storage | 8GB + 256GB 8GB + 512GB |
8GB + 128GB 8GB + 256GB 12GB + 256GB |
| Battery Capacity (Typical) | 6500 mAh | 7000 mAh |
| Battery Capacity (Rated) | 6345 mAh | 6830 mAh |
| Charging | 45W fast charging | 80W Ultra Charge |
| eSIM Support | Supported | Not supported |
| NFC | Supported | Not supported |
| In‑box Charger | Not included (only cable listed) | Charger included |
| Software support | 5 major OS updates, 6 years security patches | 3 major OS updates, 4 years security patches |
Everything else thankfully seems to have stayed the same during the phone’s journey from India to Europe, so you are getting the same 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 6,500-nit peak brightness, the Dimensity 7300 Max SoC, a 200MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie camera.
