Weekly GOP radio address: Statewide referendum question
On Tuesday, November 5, Wisconsin voters will head to the polls for a crucial election. While many will focus on the Presidential race, we also have an important statewide referendum that will directly impact our state’s election process. This referendum asks voters about amending the Wisconsin Constitution to clarify voter eligibility.
A “Yes” vote ensures that only U.S. citizens are eligible to vote in any election—national, state, or local—reinforcing existing laws and preventing noncitizen voting in Wisconsin. While noncitizen voting is currently prohibited, this amendment enshrines these protections into our constitution. By voting “Yes,” we safeguard the integrity of Wisconsin’s elections, ensuring that only citizens with a stake in our state’s future can vote.
A “Yes” vote supports clear, consistent voter eligibility, protects against future challenges to these standards, and helps keep Wisconsin’s elections secure and fair.
Make sure to have your voice heard on November 5 and protect the integrity of Wisconsin’s elections!
