Barca ad focuses on public safety – WisPolitics

1st CD Dem candidate Peter Barca has launched a new ad focused on public safety.

The ad, “Trusted,” touts Barca’s record on public safety and includes testimony from retired Wisconsin law enforcement officials including retired Rock County Sheriff Bob Spoden, retired Assistant Chief of Police in Kenosha Jim Farley and retired Racine County senior detective Tom Simons.

In the ad, Farley said people can count on Barca to “represent law enforcement as well as the community at large, Simons says Barca will “cross the aisle,” and Spoden says Barca is “dedicated to community safety.”

Barca’s team did not immediately respond for comment about the type of ads, how much money was spent or where in the state the ads will run.

According to AdImpact, Barca has $179,360 reserved on TV in the coming week, compared to $301,958 that U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Janesville, has laid down. From tomorrow through Election Day, Steil and those backing him have an advantage of $3.6 million in reservations to $2.2 million.
