The Rookie – Aftermath – Preview: Murder, Mayhem, and Memorable Accents
The Rookie sees the return of Skip Tracer Randy (Flula Borg) when Nolan (Nathan Fillion) ends up knocking on his motel room door when investigating a murder. Meanwhile, Lucy (Melissa O’Neil) handles her first day back at work after the incident while Wesley (Shawn Ashmore) faces some challenges with the Glasser case.
In “Aftermath,” A Friend makes a reappearance, Smitty takes on a new role, Bailey gets a surprising gift and Flula Borg shows off a specific talent.
Character of the Week: Wesley Evers
It’s about time we have a Wesley storyline and something says that we’ll see him pop up in this category more in the next few weeks.
Lucy also deserves a nod for navigating her trauma after what happened in last week’s episode.
Relationship of the Week: Smitty & Laziness
If Smitty has any passion, it’s his dedication to being lazy on the job. It’s almost admirable.
Dialogue Teases:
-
“You look pretty horizontal to me.”
-
“I’m just another generic handsome beefcake in Los Angeles.”
-
“Why put so much effort into being lazy? Isn’t it easier just to do the job?”
-
“The stapler was broken when I got here.”
-
“That’s not bold. That’s insane.”
