WEEK OF October 24 – 3 0, 2022
Life could get way sweeter—and hotter—this Tuesday, when the year’s only new moon in Scorpio—also a galvanizing solar eclipse—powers up your eighth house of intimacy, seduction and soul merging. Whew! Any new relationship that sparks up under this lunation has the potential to go the distance, but your job is to be brutally honest with yourself about prospects’ long-term potential. (Here’s where that Aries take-no-prisoners honesty will come in handy!) Eclipses can conceal important information in the shadows, so investigate thoroughly before you go all in. For couples, these toe-curling moonbeams may boost the urge to merge on a WAY deeper level. Make a point over the coming two weeks to talk about “next steps,” laying your cards on the table about what you truly desire. With expressive Mercury winging into Scorpio from Saturday until November 17, you’ll have some extra support with talking through those intimate details. But be patient (not your strong suit), and your dreams could manifest by the corresponding lunar (full moon) eclipse on May 5, 2023.
A cue to slowwww way down comes on Friday, October 28. Ever since bountiful, indie-spirited Jupiter flew into your sign on May 10, you’ve been off to the races. Even when it turned retrograde on July 28, you could still see a bright light in the approaching tunnel. You also may have realized that the journey ahead of you was more complicated than you thought. So, Aries, how does a brief celestial sabbatical sound? We’re not just dangling a carrot: That’s a distinct possibility starting midweek, when expansive Jupiter flips back into Pisces and your introspective twelfth house for the duration of its retrograde (until November 23). The best activities to engage in over these next three weeks begin with “re”: rest, relax, recuperate, rejuvenate! Start building in plenty of downtime to unplug, daydream and follow your muse. Reflect on any areas of your life that aren’t lighting your fire. Some situations and relationships might be salvageable, but anything that’s clearly past the point of reparation—or too draining—should be released. If you can get away, a retreat would do you a world of good. But if that’s not in the cards, do a home-based mini version, like a juice fast or short cleanse and booking some detoxifying spa treatments. Taking care of your body is never optional, but even more important now is your psyche. It might finally be time to work with a therapist, energy healer or shaman. Whatever investments you make into self-care will pay major dividends when Jupiter bounds back into Aries again from December 20 until May 16, 2023!
A dilemma could arise on Sunday, October 30, as your ruler—feisty Mars—backflips into retrograde motion in trailblazing Gemini and your third house of communication until January 12, 2023. If you’ve gotten used to working independently and suddenly someone grabs the conductor’s baton, you might not take too kindly to their “direction.” With the planetary provocateur gone rogue, tempers may be short, and harsh words could fly before anyone’s had a chance to think better of it. Given how rash and unpredictable Mars can be, you really want to (try to) hold your fire. Challenge yourself to not sweat the petty stuff, even if you have to remind yourself every day for the next two months that it’s (mostly) ALL petty stuff! Be truthful and share your opinions, but make sure you’re not trying to subvert or undermine someone just because you have an ax to grind with them. See what happens if you don’t take their bait and continue to work as autonomously as possible. Tap the “second chance” energy of Mars’ reversal to review all your written and spoken messages and ensure they align with what you’re trying to put out there. If necessary, hire a professional wordsmith to give your copy a high pro glow. If this is something that will reach a lot of powerful players, it’s worth the investment. You won’t get a second chance to make a good first impression!
